Ceramic Coatings for Wheels, Interior, and More

Ceramic Coatings for Wheels, Interior, and More

Ceramic coatings have taken the automotive detailing industry by storm over the last few years. For many of us, it seems like you can’t even go to Youtube without seeing videos of some guy throwing a bucket of mud on a half-treated hood and watching the mud disappear from the half that had the coating applied.

The effects that a ceramic coating can have on the exterior paint of your car are remarkable, but many people don’t know that the benefits don’t have to stop there. Ceramic nano-technology has been adapted to be used on many surfaces of your vehicle, even textiles. For those in the know, it seems that nearly every surface of your rig can benefit from a ceramic coating. Here’s a breakdown.

Glass

Glass coatings can prevent water from building up on your windows and obscuring your vision. After a glass coating, you simply won’t believe your eyes.

Textile & Leather

The geniuses at Feynlab have come up with two different types of coatings for your interior; one for textiles like cloth seats, convertible soft tops, and even carpets, and a different formula for leather. These coatings not only protect your interior from things like UV damage and accidental spills, but also make it incredibly easy to clean.

Wheel & Caliper

These coatings are so useful, we think they should be a standard feature on every vehicle. Anyone who’s ever washed their car knows the pain and suffering involved with brake dust – that horrible mixture of iron and carbon particles that cover your wheels and is a huge pain to remove. Not only are these particles unsightly and difficult to remove, but they quickly destroy the clear coat on your wheels and God forbid any brake dust finds its way onto your paint job.

Brake dust normally gets such a good hold on your wheels because it embeds itself into the clear coat, but ceramic coatings are too hard to allow this. The dust will just fall right off.

Wheel & Caliper coatings prevent brake dust from sticking to your wheels and calipers by creating a (comparatively) thick, hard, and slippery surface. Brake dust normally gets such a good hold on your wheels because it embeds itself into the clear coat, but ceramic coatings are too hard to allow this. The dust will just fall right off.

Feynlab has a specific formula to be used for wheels and calipers, which is thicker to stand up to harsh conditions. Read more about it right here.

Tire Coating

Tire coatings are a modern alternative to traditional dressings. Feynlab has created the first two-component semi-permanent tire coating on the market. These coatings give you the hydrophobicity you would expect from a ceramic coating, and actually let you control the amount of gloss you get by applying more or fewer layers.

Traditional Armor All dressings last a few weeks at best, but Feynlab’s Tire Coatings deliver over a year of protection and performance. Check out all the details right here.

PPF & Vinyl

Lots of folks think that having Paint Protection Films or a Vinyl Wrap prevents you from enjoying the benefits of a ceramic coating. This actually couldn’t be further from the truth. There are specific coatings designed to bond with the porous surface of self-healing PPF and vinyl wraps. These coatings will protect your films, and also let you enjoy all the properties of ceramic coatings that are so desirable.

We even have specific formulas that can be used on matte vinyl finishes. It turns out that ceramic coatings aren’t only for glossy finishes! Check out our PPF & Vinyl Coatings right here.
