Marine Coatings: Glass

Marine Coatings: Glass

How many times has your vision been obscured by water droplets? How many hours have you spent scrubbing salt stains and grime off of your windows? Glass maintenance is one of the most overlooked parts of boat ownership, yet it has such a strong effect on our day-to-day experience with our vessels.

Here at CJ’s, we recognize the importance of the glass on your boat, which is why we offer two outstanding ways for you to upgrade your boat’s exterior. Both these treatments will result in glass that is sparklingly clear, hydrophobic, and easy to clean.

You can say goodbye to water spots and salt stains, as well as making it easier than ever to clean off bird droppings.

A Glaze Crystal Vision

Crystal Vision is a high-quality glass cleaner and sealant. That means that Crystal Vision forms a molecular bond with the surface it is applied to (generally glass or polycarbonate, such as a hatch cover) and will provide stellar protection and performance for around 6 months.

Once applied to glass, Crystal Vision instantly repels water by forcing it to bead. That means that you can say goodbye to water spots and salt stains, as well as making it easier than ever to clean off bird droppings. When it rains or you experience heavy spray, you will be able to clearly see through your dodger or cockpit windows, as the water will just roll right off instead of clinging to the window, like the way you are used to.

Feynlab Ceramic Lite

Ceramic Lite is a similar idea to Crystal Vision, but the higher quality molecular bond will last for almost twice as long. A single application of Feynlab’s Ceramic Lite will keep your windows shining for an entire year.

The hydrophobic properties of window treatments do more than just keep water from adhering to the glass. The primary way that windows get dirty and grimy is from dirty water sitting on the glass until the water evaporates, leaving a residue. Since Ceramic Lite prevents water from sitting on your glass, dirt and grime won’t be able to stick to the surface.

If you are looking for the longest lasting treatment for your marine glass, look no further.
